Street Art | Miss Van’s kitties

Miss Van tells us about women. The female-kind represented in her graffitis (first) and in her paintings (then) give us a dreamlike image of women. Her women are unreal, act like cats, exhibit their body as they are part of a burlesque show. They aim to be the geishas of the XXI Century, giving pleasure to whom stop to look at them on the streets. They seem to cover their fragility epitomizing the object of male sexual desire.

My question is:

Are they the projection of the male’s image of woman?

OR They represent what women really want to be, while they are apparently fighting against that representation?

Have a tour of Miss Van’s art on missvan.com and try to answer the question!
